Bio

Vinni Hamilton has been involved with music for most of his life. Born in London and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, he got his start singing individually and with school groups, often participating in national competitions. He was awarded a scholarship to participate in a brass program at the Jamaica School of Music (now Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts) while at the tender age of 10 and continued studying there for a year after. However, he didn't discover his flair for keyboards until years later, through his work with various local bands and choirs in and around Kingston.

Now, he plays the piano, keyboards, drums and flute. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, and an educator, teaching music and directing bands at different levels, as well as teaching piano, drums and theatre at different studios. As a keyboardist, he has played for many different artists, including Bob Andy, King Yellowman, Beres Hammond, Freddie McGregor, Diana King, Julian Marley, Jo Mersa Marley, Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths, Nadine Sutherland, Luciano, Ernie Smith, Pluto Shervington, Tanya Stephens, Singing Melody, Da’Ville, Everton Blender, L.U.S.T., Lutan Fyah, Etana, Arturo Tappin and Willie Stewart and friends.

His production company, Vinni Hamilton Productions, is thriving, producing music for various clients, including artists of different genres. As a verified artist himself, his lofi brand, illUStrus, currently has thousands of monthly listeners.
